A Kids Empire indoor playground is joining Towngate Promenade in Moreno Valley.

Progressive Real Estate Partners represented the property owner, Gateway Co., in the $2.8 million sale of the 13,000-square-foot retail building between 24 Hour Fitness and Aldi. The shopping center at 12650 Day St. is also home to Costco and The Habit, Dickey’s Barbeque, Applebees and Mimi’s Café.

The indoor playground is expected to open in 2023.

Kids Empire features age-appropriate play structures, climbing walls, slides and rides for kids of all ages. Customers buy time in the indoor playground, which is popular after school, on weekends or for birthday parties. The Los Angeles-based franchise company specializes in children’s entertainment and has 30 locations in 10 states in the US.

Agua Caliente Casinos in the Coachella Valley is hosting a job fair from 1-4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23 inside the Cahuilla Ballroom at Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage.

Positions include food and beverage, security, facilities, retail, cash handlers, IT, housekeeping and more. Jobs are plentiful at all three properties – Rancho Mirage, Palm Springs and Cathedral City.

Qualified candidates can expect a job offer on the spot, casino reps said.

Juice It Up! has opened its first store in Perris.

The store is owned and operated by first-time franchisees and husband-and-wife duos John and Selena Garcia, and Juan and Denise Cabrera.

Located at Plaza de Perris, the shop sells raw juices, smoothies, açaí and fruit bowls.

The shoe retailer WSS has leased its second location in Riverside at a former Rite-Aid at 3849 Chicago Ave.

The store — at the intersection of University and Chicago avenues — is in a shopping center that is getting a Grocery Outlet. Other tenants include Dollar Tree, Planet Fitness, Wingstop, Little Caesars, Waba Grill and Boost Mobile.

WSS is expected to open in early 2023.

Founded in 1984, the company has at least 80 stores in the Western U.S. and sells a variety of athletic, fashion and casual top brand shoes, clothing and accessories for the entire family.

The 10,414-square-foot Centerpointe Plaza in Riverside has sold for $4.8 million, according to NAI Capital Commercial.

The seller was Centerpointe at Market LP and the buyer was an unidentified family trust.

The retail center at 3225 Market St. was 2018 and was fully leased at the time of the sale with long-term leases in place, according to NAI.

“We are seeing tremendous interest from investors for well-located high-quality retail assets even with the rise in interest rates,” said  Andrew Batcheller with the brokerage.

A 106,088-square-foot warehouse on 7 acres in Ontario has sold for $56 million, according to Stream Realty Partners.

The unidentified buyer bought 1933 E. Locust St. from Winsford Corp.

The property includes an industrial building dating to 1989 and unpaved land behind the facility.

Forbes Industries, a manufacturer of hospitality and food and beverage products, occupies the space and has asked the new owner for a short-term sale-leaseback agreement, Stream reps said.

Stream Realty Partners represented the seller in the transaction. James Min of Colliers International represented the buyer.

River’s Edge Apartments in Lake Elsinore has sold for $64.5 million, according to documents provided by Vizzda, a commercial real estate data firm.

The buyer of the 184-unit apartment complex was listed as Atlantic Pacific Cos. The seller was Weidner Apartment Homes.

The 11-building community at 2088 East Lakeshore Drive includes a swimming pool and jacuzzi, fitness center, work and study spaces in a technology center that features free WiFi, and a resident lounge with a large TV and fireplace.

Rents start around $2,050 for one bedroom and rise to $2,495, according to apartmentguide.com.

The shuttered Molded Fiber Glass facility at 9400 Holly Road in Adelanto has sold for $11.8 million, according to The Bradco Cos. The 71,246 square-foot industrial manufacturing building sits on 9.3 acres and once was the western operations hub for the company in California. MFG, which made wind turbine and other large-scale fiberglass components, closed the facility in 2020.

The unidentified buyer was represented by NAI Capital in Ontario.
