YOU don't have to walk a mile in someone's shoes to tell how classy their style is.

An elegance expert has revealed the five kinds of shoes that are lowering your look.

TikTok user Antonia Higham shared the popular types of shoes that are making you look tacky.

The first kind of shoe the elegance expert recommended avoiding is "tacky over branded slides."

The TikToker showed examples of slides with a large logo and a second pair with a monogram pattern.

Fishnet heels are another pair of shoes which Antonia advised her viewers to steer clear of.

The statement footwear is a current trend on budget-friendly clothing sites as well as high-end designers.

According to the elegance expert, the hugely popular Yeezy foam shoes may also be hindering your elegant look.

Kanye's famous footwear brand has become a staple in the wardrobe of fashionable young people, but Antonia recommended avoiding the foam shoes.

She also advised viewers to steer away from monogram sneakers, such as the iconic Louis Vuitton shoes.

For her final and perhaps most obvious elegance tip, Antonia told her followers to retire any scuffed or dirty shoes.

Since the white sneaker look has risen in popularity, it's common to see people walking around with the odd scuff mark on them.

TikTok users took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the fashion advice.

"Fishnet, foam. monogrammed sneakers and scuffed trainers I agree with. Horrible. The slides rock," wrote one viewer.

Another follower joked: "Okay, so I will wear nothing."

"Nobody with a bit amount of 'fashion sense' will ever wear the Yeezy things called 'shoes,'" said a third person.
