This costume from Morrisons is out of this world and includes a decorated laced bodice, chiffon detailing and an inter-galactic print. Of course, no witch's outfit is complete without the staple headpiece: a witch's hat.

Say "I do" to this creepy corpse bride outfit which consists of a long brial dress finished with a black design on the bottom of the skirt and a ribcage drawn on the top half of the dress, orange flowers and lace. Available in ages 5-6 and 9-10 from Morrisons, it can be finished off with the accesory no bride can leave home without: her veil.

This costume has been designed by seven-year-old Josie, from Durham, in a costume design competition for Tesco and is spookily spectacular. With stripy leggings and a floaty white dress which has the stereotypical ghost features - two eye dots and an open mouth (you can almost hear the 'oooo') - and a ghostly headband which has a white ghost within a web, it's the perfect costume for those wanting to channel their inner Casper. Available from Tesco for ages 3-4 and 9-10.

There's nothing cuter than an adorable toddler in a pumpkin onesie. And while they're not old enough to enjoy the spooky season quite so much as bigger kids, this costume will keep them cosy whilst looking the part. Costing £9 from Tesco, it's made from recycled polyester so will keep your little ones snug throughout the day.

This skeleton costume from Aldi isn't your regular black and white t-shirt and trouser combination - oh no. This costume has a sci-fi video game twist to it while still oozing spookiness with its bony design.

It consists of a jumpsuit decorated with the purple, blue and green skeleton design and a hood with holes for your features to complete the look. Too busy to go looking around Aldi yourself? You can get the look online.

When trick or treating is done, why not continue the spooky costumes with these glow in the dark skeleton pyjamas from Marks & Spencer for £12.

The perfect costume in which to cause mischief, this fancy dress outfit from Aldi is a great tribute to the bubbly and energetic comic book character. With the signature 'jester' look, it comes with a checkered dress in classic Halloween colours - orange and black - mask and headband. All your kids would already need are the shoes for the ultimate trick or treating trip.

Channel this fabulous Disney baddie with Sainsbury's Malificent costume - which is currently on sale for £12. With her signature headpiece made easy to wear as a headband and a long swooshing high-collared purple and black dress with a sparkly sequin bodice, it's an easy crowd pleaser that'll see your little one turn into everybody's favourite fairy villain. What's more is you can wear it not just to Halloween parties, but Disney parties all year round.

For a phenomenal Frankenstein costume without splashing green face and body paint all over your house, this top and bottoms combo from Sainsbury's is the perfect solution to a mess-free makeover - that's equally as scary. On the surface, this costume looks like just a padded face top and zig-zag trousers, but it has an added detail to make it even more horrifying - lenticular eyes.

To make this outfit work, start off by seeking out some red items of clothes - be that a dress or big baggy top and red trousers. This will create the base of this costume. Once you've gathered this together, make your way to Poundland to pick up some devil horns, a sequin bow tie and, of course, a tail and you've got yourself a completely devilish dress-up for your utterly angelic little one. Want to go one step further? Pick up some red face paint to bring the look together.

Nevermind a vampire costume that usually needs sharp (and plastic) prop teeth, a whole lotta hair gel and a boned collar. This bat costume from B&M is simple, spooky and utterly adorable - not to mention a bargain.

Coming with a hood (with fabric teeth attached) and bat wings flowing from the hips to the arms, this all-in-one is great for kids who seek comfort and a creepy costume. Aged 2-5.
